The DOE, in collaboration with national and international organizations, is offering the Global Leaders Academy this year. This six-week summer program is designed to expose high school multilingual learners/English language learners (MLs/ELLs) to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs), while helping them develop their leadership, language, and other critical 21st century skills, including Artificial Intelligence (AI).
Students will visit Permanent Missions (405 E 45th St, New York, NY 10017) to understand how the UN SDGs are being addressed on the global stage. The program will conclude with students developing and pitching social entrepreneurial projects that address these SDGs to social impact investors.
Interested students should apply by May 31.
