Dear Parent/Guardian,
As hard as it is to believe, the school year is almost over and we have begun preparations for the 2024-25 school year.
Today, your child had a meeting with their 8th period teacher during which they received important documents: a copy of their report card, this letter, and a tutoring schedule. It is essential to discuss these materials with your child, as they indicate areas where your child has faced challenges in one or more academic subjects throughout this semester. There is a possibility that your child may need to retake these classes either over the 2024 Summer Session, (July 10th - August 16th), or in the next school year to ensure they are on track with their peers.
We urge you to encourage your child to make use of the resources available to them; Regents Prep and after-school classes are taking place daily. There is still time for your child to develop effective learning and study habits, and pave their way to success; however, it is crucial that they demonstrate a willingness to strive for improvement in all their classes.
Our final Parent-Teacher Conference for this school-year is scheduled for May 23, 2024, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. We hope you'll arrange a meeting with your child's teacher to receive an update on their progress. Book your appointment with your child's teachers here.
