12-15-22 Protest At approximately 9:15 today, students from our campus walked out of the building in protest of the proposed co-location of a Kindergarten through 4th grade Success Academy charter school. This action was planned by students and parents and was not sanctioned by the teachers or administrators of this campus.

Notification for the Proposal Impacting Springfield Educational Campus Dear Excelsior Community,On November 18, 2022, the Office of District Planning posted a proposal to open and co-locate a new Success Academy elementary school in building Q420 (Springfield Gardens Campus) beginning in the 2023-2024 School Year. The Joint Public Hearing (JPH) for this proposal will be held via teleconference on Tuesday, December 20 at 6 p.m. at https://learndoe.org/districtplanning/ .We implore you to do your own research on Success Academy and how they have responded to our children in their times of need. We do not welcome them on our campus.
